METHODOLOGY
Action research - The process of training will be made through a methodology of action-research. Change is regarded as an integral part of research. The participants will construct their own knowledge. Methodological approaches essentially applied to the practice include: discovery processes, independent learning, discussion in small or enlarged groups, utilisation of multimedia technologies and of informatics to foster discussion inter groups and evaluation. Art activities will be main resources. The methodology will be transversal to all the modules that will not be taught necessarily in sequence. The course will take place in the associations and University partners of the project, at least a day in a week, during the 2ndt phase of the project (01/02/04 to 01/06/05). After the project the site will be used by other associations of autism or related population, all over Europe. It can be used in schools, universities, by the general population. The website will be a specific pedagogical and management tool central to the project. The training will be made through the website. 1. The monitors elaborate the modules and materials, introduce them in the net and teach how to use the information. 2. At the beginning the site will be used by persons with autism with monitors or/and families and staff; groups of non-qualified staff (10 to 15 trainees) with the help of trainers (during the course). 3. After some time, the trainees will be able to consult the website by themselves or in small groups without the monitors. Practitioners are the crucial people in the process. The modules are made at the beginning but they will be remade all along the training, after being tested in each country involved in the project. In each country there will be a person in charge of the training. This person (the monitor) guides the trainees to use the information, guides the internet sessions and makes the links with the co-ordinator of the project who will also be the person who co-ordinates all the information received. |
